Dr. Don Rickert, IDSA has entered IDEA 2008 Competition

Don Rickert has entered some of his instrument design work in the IDEA (International Design Excellence Awards) competition for 2008. There is no more prestigious competition for Professional Members of the Industrial Designers Society of America, of which Don Rickert belongs. Even an honorable mention opens all sorts of doors for small firms like ours.

Due to anonymous judging procedures, we are not supposed to reveal what we have entered in the competion until the judging is complete.

NEW Adventurer Fiddle by Rickert & Ringholz

Our newest travel fiddle (pochette) was inspired by a 'box pochette' spotted by our friend in Australia, Jerry Everard, at the Victoria and Albert Museum.

TravelMaster Going to Tibet

One of our Rickert & Ringholz TravelMaster pochettes is going on a VERY long bicycle trip across Europe to Tibet. We made a special case for the journey and have some pictures below. We will be getting photos of the trip as it occurs and will post them.

Most interesting to fans of the film Borat is that passage through Kazakhstan is part of the itinerary. We have requested that our customer get some photos of Borat's home town and perhaps an autograph from the "4th Best Prostitute in Kazakhstan," who those in the know are hip to the fact that this is Borat's sister.

For those who take the Borat stuff seriously...get a sense of humor...it's a joke!
